SaVage Locked In.

By Semper HQ

We’ve locked in our longest-serving player, James “SaVage” Savage, as the first signing of our new-look roster.

SaVage is the first of five announcements as we double down on our Oceanic core.

It’s been a wild couple of days in the APAC scene, and we want to be clear with you about where we stand. Today we start unveiling our new-look Counter-Strike 2 roster, and we’re kicking it off by confirming that James “SaVage” Savage, our longest-serving player, has re-signed with us for the 2026/27 season.

SaVage is the first of five signings we’ll announce over the coming days, with more high-profile moves in the works. This isn’t a short-term play built around a Major qualifier. It’s the plan we’ve always had, and it hasn’t changed.

“Our game plan has always been to support young guns with an Oceanic core and compete internationally. That goal hasn’t changed, and we’ll continue to build rosters around the local scene wherever possible. Starting with Savage says a lot about who we are.”

– Ben “BenTheLegend” Savage, Owner of Semper Fi

An Experience-First Mindset:

SaVage has been with us since July 2024, with over 801 days with Semper Fi, or more than two years in the green and gold. That makes him the longest-serving player we have, and he’s still only 21.

He came to us with competitive experience already behind him. Before Semper Fi, he played for Sprout Academy (February to March 2024) and JiJieHao (November 2023 to January 2024). Across nine teams in total, HLTV has him at more than five years of competing, and a listed career prize pool of $22,555.

In our colours he’s played at the ESL Pro League in Stockholm, ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Finals, the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 and the XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals. That includes a 2-0 win over THUNDER dOWNUNDER at the ESL Challenger League finals and a 2-0 win over Tyloo at the Asian Champions League.

Anyway, keep an eye out for more.

New player announced everyday this week.

That's Semper Fi. Always Faithful.
